Here at Highgate we welcome, celebrate and value each person. We also believe that children are a vital part of the life and worship of this community. Our Kids@ Highgate programme runs each week during term time. Children start off in church and after the children’s address they head out to Kids @ located in the hall.
We remember with love and give thanks for the life of
Neil Churcher, who passed away on Wednesday June 23rd.
Our love and sympathy go to Muriel and his family.

IS GOD INVITING YOU TO LIVE ALONGSIDE THOSE IN POVERTY?
Servants is providing an opportunity to explore this question with a bunch of like-minded Christians in Dunedin. The Apprenticeship is a ten-month commitment to learning more about God’s heart for the poor, and discerning together how God might be inviting us to share in this.
We will meet one evening per month to read, share, and pray together, and during the summer break will spend a month living in an urban slum with Servants communities in Manila or Phnom Penh. This year, the Apprenticeship runs Aug ’10 – May ’11, and it is limited to six individuals, aged 20+, and in good health.
For more information and/or application forms, contact Jono (jono@highgatemission.info / 03 477 5661). For more information about Servants, see <www.servantsasia.org>
Intercede: Servants Prayer meeting
Come and join us in the hall (Maori Hill) on Sunday 27 June, 4.30-5.30pm, as we pray together for Servants workers and the needs of their urban poor communities. Over the last month or so, many of our workers have written about the severity of heat waves that have recently swept through Asia, and so on this occasion, we will focus our prayers on the effect of these weather conditions and climate change on the poor and vulnerable around the globe.
