Hi Barry,
Many thanks for last week’s items. Laundry powder and dishwash liquid are in short supply but, of course, any contributions are very well received at the foodbank. Cheers, Sue

Prayer Workshop
led by Graham Redding
In this workshop, participants will explore the significance of prayer and learn how to craft prayers for public worship, with special reference to the prayers of the people, or prayers of intercession. It doesn’t matter how experienced or inexperienced you are. This workshop will enable you to lead in prayer with greater confidence and skill.
When and where: Maori Hill Church , 7 p.m. on Tuesday the 29th of June. Please let Graham know if you’d like to come. principal@knoxcentre.ac .nz His home phone number is 4879983.
This would be very worth while for folks who will be involved in Prayers for Others at B@tCH. Graham teaches this very well!!

IS GOD INVITING YOU TO LIVE ALONGSIDE THOSE IN POVERTY?
Servants is providing an opportunity to explore this question with a bunch of like-minded Christians in Dunedin . The Apprenticeship is a ten-month commitment to learning more about God’s heart for the poor, and discerning together how God might be inviting us to share in this.
We will meet one evening per month to read, share, and pray together, and during the summer break will spend a month living in an urban slum with Servants communities in Manila or Phnom Penh . This year, the Apprenticeship runs Aug ’10 – May ’11, and it is limited to six individuals, aged 20+, and in good health.

In from Student life
Dear Barry
after being approached by OUSA president Harriet today, I would like to bring a request to you all.
This Friday and Sat are the last two days of the Gardies Tavern’s life as an iconic scarfie pub.
We know there is potential for a ton of trouble when combined with the rugby test Sat night, and the fact that the closing has over 2000 people following the closing on face book!
SO:
We want to do a Castle street clean on this Friday night to remove bottles and trash from the street from 6pm -7pm.
Then we will run a BBQ with 1000 sausages until mid night on the Friday. On Sat we will run another BBQ with another 1000 sauasages from 9pm to midnight.
I would ask that if you have finished exams, you come join in. If you have exams still, come do the street clean!
This is our opportunity to serve the local community, OUSA, and the University.
Lets make our Lord Proud. See you Friday night. Bring a yard broom if you have one.
what: Friday 6pm Street clean and BBQ
Saturday 9pm BBQ
Where: Gardies Tavern carpark Who: You and your mates who want to help!
Bring: Bring the love t-shirt and a yard broom!
I will run the BBQ on Friday night, and Josh from Grace will run it on Sat night.
ps: follow this Bring the Love event on face book!
